Designed by HDR, the Quinte Health Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital is currently under construction. When completed, it will be the first all mass timber acute care hospital in North America.
The sustainable infrastructure will include geothermal energy, solar panels, green roofs, and EV-ready parking. With energy-efficient operations and biophilic design principles, the hospital will serve its community with advanced medical technologies.
When completed in 2027, the hospital program will include 23 in-patient beds, an emergency department, diagnostic imaging, comprehensive ambulatory care services, and healing gardens.
