Two friends, Femke and Annefleur, started Toverlux out of a shared appreciation for simple, handmade objects and the quiet magic of childhood rituals. From their workshop in the Netherlands, they design and assemble a line of wooden lamps and lanterns that combine thoughtful craftsmanship with a sense of wonder.

The Toverlux Lamp features a solid birch frame with gently rounded corners and a natural finish that showcases the warmth and grain of the wood. It houses a soft, dimmable LED light and is designed to display interchangeable silhouette panels that can be swapped to reflect the season, a story, or a child’s imagination. The construction is sturdy but elegant, and the panels slide in and out easily—making the lamp as tactile as it is decorative. A smaller, cordless version—the Lantern—is made with the same care, using a similar wooden frame and translucent paper.
